Track 1: AI and Data-Driven Decision Making

• Automatic reports: Scheduled issuance of reports from REM Data Control (trends, alarms, health KPIs). • REM Condition Report: Severity evaluation based on defined technical criteria (criticality table). • PrePM Report: Report prior to planned maintenance to validate critical conditions of the equipment. • Alerts by condition: Immediate alerts for risks that require urgent attention (high severity). 2.4. REM Reporting Ensure understanding of findings and correct interpretation of operational recommendations. • Weekly Internal Meeting (REM Team): Technical alignment, trend review, and analytical decisions. • External meeting with the client (weekly or monthly): Formal presentation of condition reports, PrePM and critical REM findings. 2.5. Service Order (OS) Generation and Monitoring Translate remote monitoring findings into corrective actions and operational follow-up. • OS Creation / Notifications: Formal registration of REM recommendations in the customer's maintenance system. • Spare parts and services tracking: Checking availability and delivery times. • Quotes: Cost management for procurement of materials or associated services. • Attention to purchase orders: Validation of the procurement process until its approval. 2.6. Execution, Validation and Closure of the REM Cycle Complete the monitoring cycle by confirming the actual status of the equipment after applying the recommendations. • OS Tracking and Notifications: Confirmation of progress, execution, and closure by the client. • Technical execution of OS: Application of the corrective, physical inspection, functional tests and validation of conditions. • Post-PM Report: Final report prepared by REM, which includes evidence (data, photos, readings, feedback) and comparison of before and after conditions. 3. Proposed Mining 4.0 Integration Model The transition toward Mining 4.0 represents a paradigm shift for Komatsu, moving from reactive monitoring to a self-optimizing digital ecosystem. This model leverages Digitalization as the foundational nervous system, Automation to scale operational efficiency, and Autonomic Systems for self-healing equipment capabilities. By centralizing these pillars, Komatsu paves the way for a resilient, human-centric, and carbon-neutral mining future where intelligence is embedded at every level.(Grobis et al., 2025)
