cycloned waste rock-tailings mixtures in ratios of 4:1 and 7:1 (14). Instruments for measuring pressure, oxygen percentage, moisture percentage, flow rate, and sampling of leachate for chemical analysis and evaluation of acid mine drainage production were installed in each mesoscale column during filling to achieve the objectives described. The operation lasted almost three years till December 2025, as all measured parameters achieved a constant value or trend that was repeated in every season (dry and wet). These parameters were included in the PFS, and the update of the Yanacancha waste rock dump geochemical model determining the water quality was similar to that of the waste rock alone dump site. Figure 3 – Instrumented Mesoscale columns 3.2.3 Large Diameter Kinetic Testing - Phase 1 (Canada) Specialized geotechnical studies, conducted in laboratories in Canada and the United States, were performed to characterize the mixtures by determining their mechanical properties, such as strength, hardness, hydraulic conductivity, pore pressure, permeability, and liquefaction potential, among others. Likewise, geochemical studies were conducted to characterize the mixtures (PAG and NPAG) and to determine the quality of the leachate produced at the laboratory level through static and dynamic tests (Large Diameter Kinetic Testing - LDKT) using materials, tailings technology, and mixing ratios similar to those of the mesoscale columns. These results were included in the PFS and for geotechnical and geochemical simulation works using the Discrete Element Model (DEM) in Chile and the USA.
