Boundary Conditions Annual and monthly precipitation at the site was evaluated primarily based on records from a station located in the Peruvian highlands. Annual precipitation at the project site, in proportion to these records, ranges from 296 mm to 1,091 mm. The monthly distribution of precipitation in an average year shows that approximately 80% of the total annual precipitation occurs during the rainy season, from December to March, with a maximum average monthly precipitation of 176 mm in January.
