305 learning ensures that recommendations remain realistic and safe, addressing common concerns associated with purely black-box models. Third, the reliance on standard telematics data enables seamless integration into existing fleet management systems without additional hardware investment. Finally, the rulebased guidance layer produces interpretable and actionable feedback, fostering operator trust and facilitating adoption in safety-critical operations. Despite its strengths, the proposed approach has several limitations. The model’s performance depends on sufficient telemetry data coverage to capture representative operational conditions. In environments with sparse or low-quality data, predictive accuracy may degrade. Additionally, inaccurate elevation or GPS sensors can negatively impact road grade estimation, affecting speed recommendations on steep segments. While the model adapts to general weather patterns, extreme weather conditions such as heavy rainfall or icy surfaces may require dedicated environmental sensors to maintain optimal performance. Future research will focus on extending the framework in three key directions. First, the integration of deep learning architectures such as CNNs or LSTMs will be explored to improve temporal modeling of long-haul driving patterns. Second, the inclusion of environmental sensors (e.g., rain intensity, surface moisture) will enhance situational awareness under adverse conditions. Finally, tighter integration with dispatch and fleet optimization systems will enable end-to-end operational optimization beyond individual vehicle guidance. Table 3.
