As maturity increases, organizations formalize inspection programs, introduce risk-based prioritization, and establish clearer accountability. Advanced stages incorporate integrated digital platforms, lifecycle traceability, and data-driven life extension assessments. At optimized levels, predictive analytics and continuous improvement mechanisms enable proactive structural risk control aligned with long-term infrastructure sustainability. From a strategic perspective, advancing along this maturity path strengthens infrastructure resilience, improves transparency in capital allocation decisions, and reduces uncertainty in life extension and end-of-life planning. By embedding structural risk governance within institutional processes, mining operations can unlock value from existing assets while maintaining safety, environmental responsibility, and capital efficiency. Figure 4 presents a graphical representation of the key aspects involved in the implementation of a Structural Integrity Management Model for the lifecycle of structural assets.
