Thus, the engineering challenge was not simply structural adequacy, but how to maintain reliable traffic conditions under high loads, variable materials, and limited construction control, conditions typical of active mining environments. 2.2 Multidirectional Rigid Geogrids The adopted solution introduced multidirectional rigid geogrids within the granular layers to improve mechanical stabilization rather than increasing layer thickness. Unlike reinforcement systems that rely primarily on tensile resistance mobilized after deformation, rigid multidirectional geogrids act immediately by: • Providing confinement of granular particles through mechanical interlock • Restricting lateral spreading under wheel loads • Increasing apparent stiffness of the working platform • Distributing stresses more uniformly to the subgrade
