3.3 Reinforced Haul Road Configuration The mine required a solution capable of improving trafficability and reducing maintenance frequency without relying on continuously increasing pavement thickness or importing large volumes of high-quality rock. The adopted solution incorporated multidirectional rigid polypropylene geogrids combined with nonwoven geotextile separators within the granular structure to enhance confinement and prevent pumping of fines between layers. This configuration enabled the reduction of thick rock layers traditionally used to provide stability. 3.5 Construction Characteristics Installation followed typical mine construction practices, using operational equipment already available on site, without the need for specialized machinery. Materials were transported and placed using haul trucks and earthmoving equipment routinely used in mine development, supporting rapid implementation compatible with production schedules.
