The sink-and-float products obtained from the triplicate runs were combined for chemical analyses and the development of separability curves. Table 2 presents the results of the chemical studies for both the feed sample and the products derived from the sink-and-float tests. Instead, Li2O (%) reflected only the fraction effectively solubilized by the digestion protocol adopted. This may have occurred because incomplete acid digestion during sample preparation for ICP-OES can arise when high-silica and aluminosilicate minerals are present. In such cases, the use of hazardous chemicals (e.g., HF), strong acids (e.g., HClO₄), or microwave digestion is recommended (Malvern Panalytical, 2017).When this happens, elements structurally bound to the silicate matrix may not be fully released into solution, leading to systematic underestimation of their 146
