The four indices are combined into a single Midstream Deployment Readiness Score. Each index comprises 5 components, which are operationalized, scored, and aggregated using a scoring methodology. All components are assessed on a standardized 1–5 scale, using quantitative thresholds where possible and reference matrices where direct measurement is not feasible. The flow leading to the Midstream Deployment Readiness Score is demonstrated in Figure 3. 63 Social Value Addition Employment and skills upgrading potential Employment and Skills Scoring Table Environmental Value Addition Emissions improvement potential Relative emissions reduction potential (%) Nexus Contribution Support to system resilience and diversification Nexus scoring matrix (low–high system relevance) Innovation Potential Scope for technological upgrading Innovation relevance scoring Location Attractiv eness Index Facility / Country Transport Proximity Access to logistics infrastructure Distance bands (km or travel time) Distance to Feedstock Physical proximity to upstream supply Distance thresholds Workforce Access Access to labor pools Travel time or population thresholds Export Accessibility Access to international markets Corridor access scoring matrix
