Source: WES (2023). 3.2 Assessment of Effluent Quality in Barrel Tests The automated analysis of effluent quality enabled the systematic identification of critical periods during which metal concentrations exceed reference standards, as well as variability among the different materials evaluated. Figure 5 shows that there are time intervals in which a significant proportion of samples exceed copper quality thresholds, allowing the identification of conditions associated with higher environmental risk. The value of this result lies in its early detection capability: the platform enables prioritization of barrels or materials with higher impact potential, guiding monitoring efforts and corrective actions in a targeted manner rather than applying generalized strategies.
