Figure 6 demonstrates that the availability and consumption of neutralizing agents are not constant, but rather exhibit critical periods of increased demand, directly influencing the system’s capacity to control acid generation. This finding has direct management implications: it allows for the optimization of neutralizing agent dosing and the adjustment of geochemical control strategies based on the system’s actual behavior, thereby improving the technical and economic efficiency of the implemented measures.
