243 The 10 kV switchgears of the substations provide potential for further electrification of mobile mining equipment. With the installed DC power capacity there is potential for dynamically charging of battery equipped trolley trucks at an average power level of 500 kW. Figure 4 - Electrical overview of the trolley-system at the Erzberg mine 2.2 Trolley installation Figure 5 shows the installation of the trolley-system at the Erzberg. The poles are Hbeam types HEM240, HEM300 or HEM340 dependant to the static requirements. They are placed on the right side of the road (RHS driving in Austria) in typical distances of 30 m. The 10 kV AC supply (AlMgSi 3 x 95 mm²), the DC feeder wires (2 x 625 mm² AAC Al) and the AC low voltage supply for the 120 W LED bulbs are mounted directly at the poles, therefor a reinforced concrete socket foundation with plate dimensions between 1,5mx15m and 2mx2m covered with excavation material is sufficient to meet static requirements. Galvanized steel rods in a height of 7.0 m above road surface carry the contact wires (RiS 120 mm² AC-120 CuAg 0.10). On straight sections the contact wires are tensioned whereas on curved sections they are fixed from pole to pole. At curves poles are also placed on the left side of the road and support wires carry the contact wires. Figure 5 shows a typical layout of the poles – including a schematic drawing of the reinforced concrete socket foundation. On each entrance to the trolley line special entrance gates enable connection of the current collectors to the contact wires without a standstill of the truck (see Figure 6). trolley segments I==I public 110kV grid 900V DC substations
