Operational data on cement, water and tailings throughput were used to estimate annualized impacts on cement use reduction, water use, tailings utilization and operating costs. 4. RESULTS 4.1 CPB pumpability and strength development, lab test results Laboratory tests results showed that, when the chemical admixture is used in the mix (different testing dosages 1.6-2.7 liters/m3), it is possible to improve pumpability over time in comparison with CPB mix without admixture (Figure 7), while increasing solids content (1.53%), reducing cement content by 25%, reducing water use by 4-10% and increasing tailings use by 6-9% (Table 2).
