40 At the same time, proposed CPB mixes including admixture proved to achieve consistently higher UCS than base mix without admixture (Figure 8). Figure 8 – CPB lab mixes UCS These favorable, although preliminary, results allowed for full-scale testing at the paste fill production plant, where the same positive trend observed in the laboratory tests was expected. 4.2 CPB pumpability and strength development, full-scale test results In full-scale test, the CPB mix required the same pumpability compared to the lab test mix, the chosen stope pouring for CPB sampling was TJ 1021 Nv 1880 OB13. Tailings cake feeding rate for CPB production was a mean of 200 ton/hr. Cement feeding rate for CPB production was set as a percentage of tailings cake feeding rate. Admixture dosage was set acoording CPB tonnage production, defining the dose according to mix DP-03 detailed in Table 2. Tables 3 and 4 shows sampled mixes during 2 days full-scale test. Baseline mixes without admixture are labeled as “P” and proposed mixes with admixture are labeled as “A”. It is evident the admixture capability to increase CPB density (more solids in the recipe) while maintaining pumpability according mini-slump test results registered on field, and binder dosage reduction of 25% (reduction from dose 4% to 3%).
