Based on the theory of tribology and fluid mechanics, aiming at the problems of poor sealing, high resistance and short service life in the harsh underground environment of the traditional idler, a solution combining low viscosity nano magnetic fluid with field induced structure control is proposed, and a non-contact sealing structure of hydrophilic silica nano magnetic fluid is developed. The performance test results are shown in Figure 6. The structure realizes the dual optimization of the rotation resistance and sealing performance, the rotation resistance of the idler is reduced by 28%, and the energy consumption of the whole machine is reduced by 5%, the sealing performance is improved by 26%, and the service life is more than 30000 hours.
