METHODS FOR EARLY ESG INTEGRATION Every development and operation is unique, with distinct ESG requirements shaped by community influences, regulatory demands, and environmental conditions. Therefore, ESG planning must be tailored to the specific context of each project. Developing a project-specific ESG Roadmap is essential for identifying and prioritizing the most relevant and impactful ESG issues for successful project development. Implementing early stage ESG integration involves complementary process changes and analytical tools that place environmental and social considerations alongside technical and economic decision criteria from the outset. A practical mechanism for achieving this is the development of an ESG Roadmap. Once established, the ESG Roadmap provides the structural framework through which material environmental, social, and governance considerations are identified, examined and integrated throughout the mining project lifecycle. Its staged structure enables systematic incorporation of ESG factors into project definition, design and decisionmaking processes, supporting consistency, traceability, and alignment with emerging regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
