For the 1.5 m spacing baseline case, an analysis of the numerical simulation results for the different explosive diameters reveals the following: • 1 1/2-inch Explosive Diameter: This configuration develops optimal connectivity between blastholes, resulting in the successful generation of a presplit plane (see Figure 2). • Data Correlation: A double-entry table was generated to analyze the relationship between Peak Particle Velocity (PPV) in mm/s and the distance in meters. • Attenuation Efficiency: The theoretical attenuation (filter %) yielded by the model is 38% for the 1 1/2" diameter and 34% for the 1 1/4" diameter (see Figure 5).
