Track 6: Mining Engineering and Mine Planning

designs and plans, ensuring that any necessary modifications or adjustments are incorporated into the plan in a timely manner. This stage allows for an accurate view of the progress status and existing gaps, serving as a basis for planning the following months. Once the actual progress is updated, the expected progress for the month is projected in the quarterly plans of each construction company involved, distributing the activities according to the available resources. This proposal is analyzed and contrasted with multiple critical factors, such as the required yields to meet the annual commitment, construction milestones, geomechanical restrictions, interferences, mucking routes, and other elements that may affect the development sequence. Finally, the process of planning control and monitoring is carried out, whose purpose is to identify early warnings and improvement opportunities that ensure their fulfillment. This monitoring includes periodic performance evaluations, resource adjustments, and prioritization of critical activities, ensuring that mining preparation progresses in a coordinated, efficient, and safe manner, optimizing operational continuity and contributing to the achievement of long-term production and planning objectives. 3. RESULTS As an example of planning, during the month of February 2026, mining preparation activities continued advancing in macroblock N42, focusing mainly on the execution of civil works. During this period, lean concrete base, pavement, and slot raise development work were carried out, which are fundamental to ensuring adequate operating conditions, safety, and continuity in the subsequent stages of the production process. The lean concrete base allows conditioning the work areas, ensuring slopes and elevations according to operational requirements, while the pavements contributed to improving traffic, circulation, and efficiency in the movement of mining equipment or support vehicles. It is worth highlighting that these activities correspond to the last civil works planned for macroblock N42, thus marking the closure of an important stage within its preparation process. This progress allows for projecting the start of the following phases of development, linked to the commissioning of operational systems and, eventually, the start of production. The above is presented in the following images, where the progress achieved and the current state of the work executed are shown: Illustration 6: Status of civil works macroblock N42 – Elements
