356 3.2 Data sources and search strategy Records were retrieved from Web of Science and Scopus for 2000–2025. Searches were executed in title, abstract, and keyword fields using database-specific syntax. The full search strategy combined five concept blocks: (1) mining and mineral-processing context, (2) circular economy and resource recovery terms, (3) waste-stream and technology pathway terms (reprocessing, metal recovery, mine-water and acid mine drainage treatment, and industrial symbiosis), (4) performance and outcome terms (technical, operational, and economic), and (5) organizational lenses (culture and organizational learning). To test how strongly organizational concepts are indexed in the mining circularity corpus, three query variants were run in both databases: a full query including culture and learning terms, a version excluding culture terms, and a version excluding learning terms. This sensitivity check provides evidence on how often culture and learning constructs appear explicitly in mining circularity indexing. 3.3 Record management, de-duplication, and screening Exports from both databases were merged and de-duplicated using DOI where available, supplemented by matching on title, year, and source where DOI was missing or inconsistent. Screening followed staged filtering (title/abstract screening, relevance checks, and full-text availability for deep reading). A derived relevance label (used in the working dataset) guided prioritization for full-text synthesis. 3.4 Bibliometric analysis and science mapping Bibliometric performance analysis described publication patterns and supported the identification of dominant themes and research fronts. Science mapping was conducted through keyword-based thematic structuring (co-word logic) and cluster interpretation using representative documents and dominant terms.
