OPERATING MODEL AND COMPETENCIES Minera Chinalco Peru (MCP) drives an agile, adaptable and sustainability-oriented organization through a Cross-Functional Competency Model for Industry 5.0 that prioritizes critical thinking, data analysis, judgment in decision-making, Digital and Integrated Operations Management, and innovation based on logical-mathematical reasoning. This strengthening of human talent is fundamental to enhancing remote operation capabilities and addressing circular economy and climate change challenges, aligning with a strategic roadmap for the GIO Center that began with its approval and official inauguration in December 2024. The implementation timeline for 2025 ensures the continuity of this transformation through the reassignment of OPEX/CAPEX and the approval of the rental of Floor 7 (March–May), the management of tenders and acquisitions (April–November), and the completion of architecture development, construction and installation of the final technological infrastructure by December 2025. Figure 7 – Implementation timeline summary 6. CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP The success of digital transformation does not depend solely on technology, but on the human factor. The formula Q x A3 = E (Quality × Acceptance x Accountability x Alignment = Effectiveness by GE – General Electric) is applied, recognizing that change often fails for human, not technical reasons. Transformational Leadership is fundamental: "Changes are not generated in companies; they are generated in the people who comprise them." MCP promotes a model of effective communication based on precision, clarity, structure and context to ensure that the change message is correctly interpreted by the entire audience. 92
